I had a superb experience at Lume. I came with my sister, we sat at the bar and we had a great time in this gem in the heart of West Village. The food, the cocktails, the vibe, the service, etc… everything is wonderful. I would definitely go back !
Among the beautiful streets in the area, there are incredible places like this one that you can discover while passing by or by searching on Google. In this case, a lovely restaurant with a calm and cozy atmosphere, a perfect place to enjoy eating something delicious while sharing a great conversation with someone or among friends. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, the food is very tasty, and it's all complemented by the lovely space. I highly recommend it.
I was very sad when Extra Virgin closed, as it had been one of my staples in the West Village. But it has been replaced by this very fine Italian restaurant that I'll be glad to frequent. The space is now cooler with a more contemporary vibe. The food is not as earthy as Extra Virgin but is more creative. The warm focaccia is maybe the best I've ever had. The meat and cheese starter was excellent. The caccio E pepe was a little short on pepe with very sharp cheese but the pasta was perfectly cooked. Sat at the bar with great service and all in all was a perfect dinner. Bye Extra Virgin. I no longer miss you. I've been back twice and have enjoyed it very much. Sit at the bar for cocktails and focaccia and cheese. You can't do better for a snack and a drink.
Lume truly exceeded expectations with its impeccable service and incredible atmosphere. Our server, Alfredo, deserves special recognition, he was not only attentive but genuinely warm and made the entire dining experience feel personal. The manager, Nayara, was equally impressive, overseeing everything with such grace and professionalism. His diligence and kindness elevated the evening, ensuring everything was perfect from start to finish. The food was delicious. The ambiance is ideal for a cozy date night or a fun evening with friends. Highly recommend making a reservation!
What a great addition to the neighborhood! The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered the Truffle & Garlic Focaccia, Rigatoni Burrata pasta and Spaghetti Allá carbona. It was absolutely delicious and every dish was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the sauces tasted fresh and homemade. Our waiter Alfredo was excellent, friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcomed. He ensured everything was perfect throughout our meal. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be coming back!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A True Italian an atmosphere that was both elegant and inviting. Every detail in the décor felt intentional—romantic without being pretentious, with just the right amount of charm. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish tasted like it had been crafted with passion and tradition, from the first bite of fresh, perfectly seasoned antipasti to the rich, melt-in-your-mouth pasta. The flavors were vibrant and balanced, and the presentation was as beautiful as it was appetizing. The service was the cherry on top. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to make the experience special. They anticipated our needs without hovering, offered thoughtful recommendations, and made us feel like welcomed guests rather than just customers. This place is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience. If you love Italian cuisine, impeccable service, and an atmosphere that transports you, this is a must-visit. I’m already planning my next trip back.
Came here for the first time with my bestie! Our server, Alfredo, was amazing — he made the best recommendations and was so patient with us. The food was fresh, the pasta was the best ever, and the place is such a beautiful spot in the West Village!
